For years, Mack trucks had been the undisputed kings of our fleet. Rugged, reliable, almost indestructible, they were like family members. Every driver had their routine with their Mack, knew every quirk and little flaw, and took pride in talking about “their” truck, like a cowboy with his horse.

So, why change a winning formula? That was the question lingering in the air, sometimes whispered with skepticism, sometimes voiced with a hint of concern.

The first murmurs of a possible arrival of Kenworth trucks began a little over a year ago. The promise of cutting-edge technology, reduced fuel consumption, and unmatched driving comfort started to take hold in our minds. Mack had brute strength on its side, but Kenworth offered a technological finesse that was hard to ignore.

Even though we had a long-standing partnership with Mack, we allowed ourselves to be tempted by these new trucks from Kenworth.

When the first Kenworth trucks arrived, there was a sort of silent fascination. These trucks, with their sleek lines and spacious cabs, looked like something straight out of a movie. The drivers, initially wary, began to inspect them, touch the buttons, and feel the ergonomic seats. One of them even joked, “It feels like I’m going to pilot a plane!”

Quickly, these new trucks proved their worth. The rides were smoother, and the comfort during long hours of driving was undeniable. Gradually, smiles started to appear on the drivers’ faces, and the coffee break conversations shifted more toward Kenworth’s performance.

Mack trucks will always hold a special place in our company and our history.
