A 12th Edition Marked by Inclusion

22 May 2019

What more to say than “THANK YOU” and “CONGRATULATIONS” to the organizing committee and to the many volunteers who made this 12th edition of the Des Chênes-Toi! Bourret remarkable.

True to the quality of the event we are used to having, this edition was mainly marked by inclusion, thanks to the integration of Kartus chairs. Moreover, Frédéric Plante, Maxim Martin and Valérie Bourret took the start of the 5 km each one pushing a chair in which was seated a person with a disability. Their smile spoke for their excitement and pride to participate in the race in a Kartus chair. These values of inclusion pursued by the race committee will undoubtedly have positive repercussions in other sports events, as well as in the community of Drummondville. In addition, the infamous morning rain did not prevent the participants and the spectators to be at the rendezvous again this year. So, it’s through the inclusion and participation of runners, walkers and the public that we can humbly claim that this edition was a success.

Year after year, we are always delighted to see the pride and happiness that emerges from this event. We can see the smiles and laughter taking place in the faces of participants and spectators. That’s our biggest reward!

The second edition of the Canimex Healthy Lifestyle Expo was also a great success. People were once again present to visit the various kiosks and listen to the many speakers. Speaking of the speakers, they did a great job! The audience was visibly intrigued by the topics and inspiring speeches.

Thus, we can say that the novelties that have emerged for the race Des Chênes-Toi! Bourret and the Canimex Healthy Lifestyle Expo are a guarantee of success for years to come.
